Registration for the first round started on September 20, 2024. Candidates can register until September 26, 2024. The entire process is online through the MCC website at www.mcc.nic.in.
Candidates should keep track of all the important details, including the documents they need to provide during registration and verification. The MCC website has all the necessary information and steps to guide candidates smoothly through the counselling process.
NEET PG Counselling 2024
NEET PG counselling 2024 is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in medical colleges across India. MCC handles half of the postgraduate medical seats through a central process. The other 50% of AIQ seats are managed by state counselling authorities.
To take part in NEET PG counselling and be considered for seat allotment, candidates must have scored the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET PG exam. Only those who meet this cutoff can move forward in the process.
The counselling process involves several steps. First, candidates need to register online on the MCC portal and pay the counselling fees. Then, they must choose the courses and institutions where they want to study. Based on the candidate’s rank and preferences, MCC will announce the seat allotment results. After that, candidates must report to the assigned institution to confirm their admission and complete the necessary formalities. Each step is important to secure a seat in a top medical program.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2024 Counselling
To be eligible for NEET PG 2024 counselling, candidates must meet certain rules set by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). First, applicants must have a score equal to or higher than the cutoff set by MCC. This means they must score above a certain percentile in the NEET PG 2024 exam to qualify for counselling.
Candidates must also have passed their MBBS exam and completed a one-year internship by August 15, 2024. Without completing the internship, they cannot take part in the counselling.
The cutoff percentile for NEET PG 2024 counselling differs by category. For general candidates, the cutoff is the 50th percentile. For PwD candidates in the general category, the cutoff is 45th percentile. SC, ST, and OBC candidates need to score at least the 40th percentile.
MCC will soon announce the actual cutoff scores for these percentiles. These scores will help candidates know if they meet the eligibility for the upcoming counselling.

Hello sir/maam, if I completed mbbs from igmc shimla but my domicile state is Rajasthan , am I eligible for Rajasthan neet pg counseling for government md ms seats
If you’ve done your UG from Shimla then your domicile now is of uttarakhand. Better try for seats in UK as being domicile of that state you’ll have much better chances of getting a state quota reserved seat over there.
yes
Dr Bhairu uadav your eligibility is from himachal state as you have completed your mbbs from shimla. As you know in state counselling there is IP quota and it would be much better for you to apply from himachal quota only for which you are eligible but you will not get the IP quota in Rajasthan during the state counselling and have better chances of getting a seat in himachal pg courses but if you have an exellent all india rank then you can opt in any state and stream of your choice in all india 50%qouta
